Waimanu Valley

Waimanu Valley transformed before me
A cauldron of rock and sea
From gentle waves to a thunderous cloud
Cleansing the earth beneath me

An underwater landslide perfectly phrased
Earth shudders as ground and ocean embrace
Striving passion driven by views of molten lava

Tongue-like waves lap the shore enchanting mother earth
A full moons beam dives unbridled to uncharted depths
Rip tides grind and gyrate to mother's delight

Winds hurl as cloud land and sea become one
A gelatinous entity entangled with the cosmos

Tsunami strikes deep up the center of the valley
And white caps spew forth
Spattering Waimanu's rock laden floor
As mother earth lays back and sleep 'til dawn
